Russia, China against unilateral expansion of blocs

  MOSCOW - Russia and China have come out against unilateral attempts
at addressing international security issues, including those through
the expansion of military blocs and the creation of regional or global
missile defense systems, as follows from the joint statement signed in
the Kremlin in the course of Chinese President Hu Jintao's state visit
to Russia.

  "Russia and China regard international security as integral and
comprehensive. The security of some states cannot be ensured at the
expense of others, including the expansion of military-political
alliances or the creation of global or regional missile defense
systems," the statement says.
